JInes Family History of Real Estate

The Jines family has a storied history in U.S. real estate, dating back to the late 1800s. In the 1870s, Nathan's great-grandfather, Alfred Monroe Jines, was a trailblazer in Ochiltree County, TX, selling homesteading property for just $1.00 per acre. Alfred led a unique real estate team using horse-drawn buggies, providing potential buyers from surrounding states with tours of the land, fostering homesteading opportunities.

This legacy has continued through every generation. Nathan recalls visiting his grandmother's brokerage in Oakhurst, CA, where she served as a broker for over 30 years. Diane Jines, Nathan's grandmother, recently retired at the age of 84. Nathan fondly reminisces about his childhood experiences, from traveling to listed properties with his grandfather to actively participate in the real estate process, including planting signposts and playing in his grandmother's offices.

A significant part of the family's yearly routine involved traveling with his grandmother to inspect "spec homes" – a real estate project where his grandparents would purchase and develop land one home at a time. Drawing from this rich history, Nathan carries a unique real estate DNA into the San Francisco Bay Area, shaping his legacy and contributing to the ever-evolving real estate landscape.
